We were so lucky to spend the day with Lachie and Dakota at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove. Our mission for the day was to capture beautiful Wedding Photography and Wedding Video whilst keeping it fun.
We started the day with the boys, who were staying in an apartment on-site. With a big bridal party like this one, the energy was already high and the laughter was nonstop. We didn’t have to prompt much—the action created itself. One of my classic dad jokes set off ten minutes of back-and-forth banter as they all shared their best (and worst) material. It was perfect, and that kind of natural joy always shows in the photos and video.
Then we headed over to the girls, who were just a few minutes down the road in a beautiful private home in Sanctuary Cove. The vibe shifted slightly—more calm, focused, and emotionally charged. Everyone knew the moment was close: Dakota was just minutes away from stepping into her Made With Love Bridal gown, and the anticipation was real. Hair and makeup by the talented Lara Quinn, they all looked extravagant!!
This emotion carried straight into the ceremony with Dakota walking down the isle the tears where flowing, as always the Intercontinental Chapel is amazing to shoot in and there Wedding Coordinator David is so great to work with so combine those facts and a an awesome couple I think we all knew we where apart of something special. The florals also supplied by Style on Q just completed the already amazing look these images had.
After the ceremony, we captured group and family photos, then headed off for a relaxed adventure around the resort with the bridal party. One of the things we loved about working with Lachie & Dakota was how much they valued their photography and videography—they carved out time in their day to explore the grounds with us, stopping at different locations to capture a mix of bridal party shots, couple portraits, and candid moments.
As seasoned Intercontinental wedding photographers we know this venue like the back of our hand. Having that familiarity meant we could work quickly and creatively, maximising every moment and every setting with time to spare.
The celebration continued at The Grange, where we snuck in ahead of the guests to photograph the room setup. Styled to perfection (as always!) by Style On Q, The reception space was styled to perfection—elegant, welcoming, and absolutely buzzing with anticipation. And once the party kicked off, it did not disappoint! From surprise moments to next-level dance moves, the energy in the room was electric. (Want to see for yourself?
