As a wedding videographer in Queensland, I’ve had the privilege of capturing love stories in some incredible locations, but Gabbinbar Homestead will always hold a special place in my heart. With its 150-year-old gardens, towering ancient trees, and perfectly manicured lawns, it’s a venue that feels like a step back in time—in the most enchanting way.
From the moment I arrived, the energy was electric. Everyone had truly embraced the elegance of the occasion, dressed to the nines in classic wedding fashion—tuxedos and stunning formal attire. It set the tone for a wedding that was not just a celebration of love, but also of style, friendship, and deep connection.
Eva looked absolutely breathtaking in her wedding gown, radiating elegance and grace with every step. The intricate details of her dress shimmered in the soft afternoon light, creating the most ethereal bridal portraits. The guys were equally dapper in their sharp suits and tuxedos, exuding classic sophistication. Photographing them together, sharing laughter and excitement before the ceremony, was a joy to capture.
What made Billy and Eva’s love story even more special was the journey they had taken to get to this moment. Having spent the last 20 years together, their bond wasn’t just about romance—it was about true friendship. You could feel it in the way they looked at each other, in the way they laughed together, and in the quiet, unspoken moments they shared throughout the day—speaking to their familiarity and love.
One of my favourite moments was seeing their gorgeous dog act as the ring bearer. As an animal lover, I can’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate your wedding than by including your fur baby in the ceremony. It was a reminder that love comes in many forms—not just between partners, but in the unconditional love we share with our pets.
The family portraits in Gabbinbar’s study, surrounded by the grandeur of the big Chesterfield lounges, were truly something special. The rich, timeless aesthetic of the study added a regal touch to these moments, creating portraits that felt like they belonged in a classic painting. These are the types of images that will be cherished for generations—timeless, elegant, and filled with love.
From golden hour portraits in Gabbinbar’s stunning gardens to the laughter-filled reception, every part of the day was absolute perfection. From the heartfelt vows to the emotional first look, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Tears of joy flowed freely as Billy and Eva made their lifelong promises to each other, surrounded by family, friends, and a sea of love. It was one of those weddings where you could feel the emotion in the air—raw, real, and incredibly beautiful.

Georgia and Riley’s wedding on Tangalooma Island was nothing short of magical. From the moment the day began, we knew we were in for something special. The couple, young and full of energy, set the tone for a relaxed, fun-filled day, surrounded by friends, family, and the island’s natural beauty. As we hopped on the first ferry over to Tangalooma Island Resort, ready to start their day in the most picture-perfect and laid-back way possible, the excitement was palpable.
Riley and his groomsmen were the first to get ready, starting their morning with a few beers and plenty of laughs. These guys weren’t shy in front of the camera either, striking their best runway model poses and effortlessly soaking in the fun vibe of the day. Meanwhile, Georgia and her bridesmaids were in high spirits as they prepped for the big moment with the talented team from Hollywood Brides. Georgia’s hair, styled in a simple yet stunning fishtail braid, perfectly matched the island vibes, while the soft, delicate jewellery added the final touch to her effortless look. The moment she slipped into her dress was a beautiful one—filled with hugs, happy tears, and the kind of love you can feel in the air. Georgia’s bouquet, lovingly crafted by Cinta Everlasting Flowers, was a stunning reminder of the day’s beauty and care.
As Georgia made her way for the bridal party first look, emotions ran high. It was a moment of pure joy and tears as the girls admired her in her wedding dress. But nothing could have prepared us for Riley’s reaction when he saw Georgia for the first time as she walked down the aisle. His eyes filled with tears, a testament to the deep love and connection they share. The ceremony, led by the wonderful celebrant Leanne Booker, was filled with beautiful moments, not only between Georgia and Riley but also with their adorable son, who joined them for plenty of cuddles after the vows were exchanged. His cute antics made everyone smile, adding even more love to an already perfect day.
The island offered a stunning backdrop for the photos that followed, with its sandy beaches and iconic palm trees creating the perfect setting. Georgia and Riley’s love for each other was undeniable as they shared intimate moments along the beach, laughing, enjoying each other’s company, and celebrating their love with a cheeky champagne spray. Of course, the champagne wasn’t just for spraying—it made its way to their lips as they shared a toast to the day and the adventure ahead. As we made our way to the wharf, the dolphins decided to make an appearance, adding an unexpected and magical touch to their photos. It felt like everything aligned perfectly—stunning sunset, playful dolphins, and two people so in love that it was hard to tell where the island’s beauty ended and their love began.
The reception, styled to perfection by Amber from Miss Weddings, was filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of dancing. Riley and Georgia’s entrance into the reception was nothing short of grand. While the bridal party had already made their hilarious dance entrance, the couple made sure they stole the spotlight as they entered the room for the first time as husband and wife. The crowd went wild, and the energy in the room was absolutely contagious. The bouquet toss, garter grab, and Shoe Game followed, with plenty of laughs along the way. But the most heartfelt moment came during the speeches—there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as family and friends shared stories, memories, and tears, celebrating the beautiful couple and the love they share.
The evening ran smoothly, thanks to the incredible coordination of Chanel from Tangalooma Island Resort, and the party atmosphere was brought to life by the amazing DJ at Explosive Entertainment. As the night went on, the dance floor was filled with everyone kicking off their shoes and letting loose. The drinks flowed, the music played, and the celebration continued long into the night.

The bridal party looked absolutely gorgeous, with bridesmaids dressed in matching pink robes and dresses, and groomsmen in soft, baby blue—a touch of elegance paired with a playful nod to the joy of the day. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, creating the ideal setting for capturing their memories. The day was beautifully documented by a talented team combining J'adore Weddings and Digital Dreamcatcher, with Jess, Ben, and Rob working behind the cameras to craft a visual story filled with artistry and care.
